Man United lost 2-1 to Real Madrid in a European Super Cup match in Skopje, Macedonia, on Tuesday (08/08/2017) or Wednesday morning GMT. Real Madrid went ahead 2-0 thanks to Casemiro’s goal (24th minute) and Isco (52 ‘), before Romelu Lukaku narrowed the Red Devils defeat in the 62nd minute.
Pogba’s appearance was not as expected. The 24-year-old man Man United bought from Juventus for 105 million euros (about Rp 1.564 trillion) in the summer of last year, only fired a shot on target.
This makes Gerrard very sorry. He said that Pogba was too selfish in the game so Man United could not hope for him.
“If you can be honest, I think Pogba is very sad,” said Gerrard.
“Pogba was individual at the time rather than thinking of his other colleagues,” added the former Liverpool captain.
According to Gerrard, some of the decisions Pogba made when grazing on the pitch in the first 45 minutes were deemed less precise. This makes Real Madrid appear more dominant in the first half so it can win 1-0 at halftime.
